Coordinate microphones and monitoring together
Wireless microphones and IEM transmitters operate in the same venue and must be included in one frequency plan. Confirm destination-country legality, available tuning ranges, required channel spacing and the effect of local TV or communications signals.
Transmitting antennas, receiving antennas, combiners, splitters and cables should be planned as a system. More transmitter power is not a substitute for correct frequency coordination and antenna placement.
Test the performer workflow
Connect the real console outputs and test audio quality, stereo/mono operation, transmitter input level, bodypack volume, limiter behavior, battery life, earphone output and mute or power behavior. Walk the venue with body blocking and stage equipment operating.
Interrupt and restore power, replace batteries and repeat the test with the planned number of systems. Record the sample version, frequencies, antennas, earphones and test conditions.
